Relaxing lockdown and a peak

I would say people (not me) have been taking a more relaxed approach towards the measures for about the last two weeks; more traffic on the roads, more people returning to work, increased children attending schools, more trips to the shops, VE Day etc... so should we not be expecting to see the numbers start to rise about now in response to this relaxation?

They do appear to be rising

The death rate is anyway

Forgone90 · 23/05/2020 22:25

Is it? Isn't this the lowest Friday number since lockdown

Bramblebear92 · 23/05/2020 22:28

I thought the death rate had been getting consistently lower Confused And there's also no situation in which the cases would not rise with a loosening of restrictions. The weekly trends are more significant. Unless we stay in lockdown forever then cases will probably rise a bit.

Death rate going down. The number of actual deaths in a 24 hour period will be even lower given there is a lag in registering.
