Apologies if this has been answered before / elsewhere, but googling didn't turn up much concrete.

Best I can find is beginning of June - possibly.

Can anyone point me to an official government source with a definitive answer pretty please?

I work for a big high street / retail park store. We have been told that we will be going back 7 days before the store opens, to sort out stock deliveries, set up all the distancing measures, screen etc ... but no word yet as to when that will be. We have also been told that we will be given at least 7 days' notice before we are required to start work. No further info given, and we have had an email confirming that our furlough is extended until July.

We are very much open online though.

I was on my local high street earlier. I noticed a lot of the clothes shops had shutters up and people in - they weren't open but clearly preparing to open in the next few weeks.

They're preparing to open in case they can.

That's about it. Dunelm are not open as pp said in the usual way (but have a very good system in place)
