What is the plan at your school?

Ours is complicated but essentially children are in Monday and Tuesday or Thursday and Friday. Key and vulnerable can still go all week. Wednesday is for cleaning, planning, key and vulnerable children.

Staggered drop off and pick up, lunch in classrooms, staggered play times. No mixing with key and vulnerable children.

I feel so sorry for the staff trying to manage this and organise it to start with.

My school isn't opening to eyfs, year 1 or year 6. However they have expanded who is included under key worker and vulnerable and approached those direct. Once numbers settle from those categories they will add more in starting from EYFS.

No Rota. Close at 12 on Fridays. All in are in full time otherwise or not at all.

No Early Years or yr 1 to come back yet.
Yr 6 in bubbles of 8-10 with 2 staff.

Key worker groups have already been steadily rising this last few weeks, again no more than 8-10 2 staff.

Our school is planning to take all Reception, Y1 and Y6 children from 1st June, Monday to Thursday, if government advice remains the same. It's a village school with small year groups but I still expected it to be a lot more part time than that. School have asked who will/won't be returning but I have no idea how many parents have decided to take up a place.

My girls' school sent a letter today. Groups of 10-15, may or may not be in own classroom or with own teacher. Will follow guided home learning with teacher in morning and support staff in afternoon. Bubbles of 6 for playtime and lunch. Lunch outside or in classroom. Desks 2m apart where possible. Uniform to be washed once a day and spare 'mufti' brought into school. No access to climbing equipment etc in playground.

Own school has bubbles of 10 kids, part time week on week off. R, 1 and 6. Only 2 N kids want to come back, they are going in with R. Classrooms cleared, but realistic about little ones not being able to socially distance amongst themselves. If your year group isn't in, then you're working from home on distance learning for your year group. Theory being that if we all go back at some point, it will be on the same week on week off basis, so we need to remain available for that.

Child's school, bubbles of 10. Mine is R, we've managed to wangle working around her, despite being eligible for a KW place. If I'm in school now, her dad takes a day off to be with her. If my school needs me back but her school hasn't gone back, then she'll go as a KW child. If she's back and I'm back, then she'll go into her year group bubble. She's an only one, she needs child company. I'm not bothered about the state of the classrooms or how the day works, the reality will be different to the risk assessment. Kids are adaptable, she'll be fine. No choice anyway, if I'm at school, so is she.

School will be open for n, r, y1 and y6 from 1st June. Plus keyworkers. We have received an email today outlining all the procedures they have in place and rules for the children and parents too. Will be open Mon, Tues, Thurs and fri with weds closed for deep cleaning.
