When do you think Primark will reopen?

I understand that in the grand scheme of things this isn't extremely important.

But I'm about to run out of foundation, and after years of searching, I find my primark foundation is perfect for my skin type and colour.

I also really need some new PJs. And just before the lockdown they had some really nice cotton separates in so many lovely colours.

I'm also very much a social hermit and wandering around primark every couple of weeks gave me exactly the right amount of exposure to other people to maintain my mental health.

Any guesses?

Mid to end of July, with strict social distancing.

sweetkitty · 19/05/2020 00:04

Really wish it would my DDs are really needing PJs too

anonacatchat · 19/05/2020 00:41

Foundation will likely be new on eBay or something other kind of reselling site

@anonacatchat

Ooh thank you! I really need some more of the one I have. I shall certainly have a look Smile

I can't imagine how strict social distancing will work in Primark. Or in Ikea.

Hopefully soon.
Once a week I would meet my sister for breakfast then we would spend hours in Primark. I love their jammies, jeans, trainers and flip flops.
I've actually saved a fortune in lockdown between eating out and shopping.

socialhermit · 19/05/2020 00:55

@ParkheadParadise I love their jeans too.

Soon I hope. My pants are falling apart!

Isn’t the current roadmap date for non essential retail reopening 1st June assuming no slipping of dates?

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 19/05/2020 08:06

According to BBC today they're planning for June still. Quite looking forward to a trip to a clothes shop, although not looking forward to the queues.

MrsWhites · 19/05/2020 08:15

I would also assume they would open when non-essential shops are permitted to open, which is scheduled in the next phase of reopening, no earlier than 1st June so not too much longer. My teen DD is desperate for a wander around a primark, there was a new one due to open in our area just before lockdown so she is hoping they will open that one.

Iwantacookie · 19/05/2020 08:23

I'm surprised they havent tried some sort of online shopping during lockdown. Im down to my last pair of pjs so I need to go. I'm only an hour away from the Birmingham one so I'll be keeping a close eye on when they reopen.

Elouera · 19/05/2020 08:28

No idea when they will open? Some stores/restaurant won't open ever again! Asda have similar prices on PJ's and are still open for delivery or click/collect:

Sainsburys also have 25% off clothes currently:

Would love for primark to open but I can imagine the queue and don’t think I have the patience to do that.
