Your staff are keen to tell you why you can manage without them.
We've been able to have most staff working at home while demand for what we do has been low , (public sector so no furlough) but few of them could pretend they've been fully employed during that time, including me. We've done what needed to be done but it hasn't been anything like our normal workload.
Now we're starting to make plans for a return and some staff are understandably anxious but their approach in many cases seems to be to explain why we can manage without them.
There is certainly more waste than there should be in some public sector depts but we do make efficiencies where they are obvious!
Do these people not understand they're talking themselves out of a job?
