He is a bit off colour today and not eaten all his lunch (not like him!), lacks energy and said he feels hot and cold so I just took his temp and it was 37.9.

He hasn’t had any contact with anyone else but me, DH and his brother. DH is the only one still going to work. I go to Tesco once a week and that’s all. DH and I haven’t been ill so I’m inclined to think that whatever he has is probably the start of an ear infection or something.

We were all isolating at home when this happened before, the week before full lockdown. He also had a bit of a cough for a few days and vomited once during that time. He has been fine from then until today.

Should I be trying to arrange a test? Seems unlikely for it to be coronavirus

Incidentally the nurse practitioner never informed me she wasn’t a doctor so I assumed she was a locum. It was only when I went to pick up the prescription that I saw her name with no “doctor” in front that I thought to check.

Can you switch to a different practice? If you don't have someone you can rely on then it might be better, for your own peace of mind if nothing else.
Good luck anyway, let us know how it goes.

It’s the best in the area. The Various regular GPs are great, and we still have open surgery each day so if you want to be seen by a doctor that morning you willl be.as long as you don’t mind waiting. It’s only in the last year or so that I’ve realised that many GP practices don’t have this facility and many people elsewhere struggle to get an appointment at all. I’ve also been squeezed in at the end of the day a couple of times with things that I’ve queried over the phone that afternoon with the receptionist eg suspected cellulitis in leg and on another occasion suspected blood clot in leg. And they will always see children the same day of required, or used to a couple of years ago anyway. They are good like that. So on the whole I am happy and don’t want to swap. I’ve just got the impression the last few visits than funding issues are starting to affect them finally.

Thanks, @MRex.
