Does anyone know when Nicola Sturgeon is due to update on the SG potential lockdown ease?

Everything I have seen just says next week (this week and was written last week). I'd be keen to watch but don't watch every day due to the timings.

Oh ffs.

On Thursday we might tell you that the following week there may be a slight easing of certain restrictions, starting the week after that. And it's all to do with doing stuff outdoors.

Meanwhile our daily deaths can be counted on one hand.

SockYarn · 18/05/2020 12:58

She's just said no move at all on easing ANYTHING until at least 28th May.

And all so that she can try to play the moral high ground over Westminster.

Fucks sake.

LoadsaBlusher · 18/05/2020 13:41

Seriously

I suppose it’s only another week and a bit but yes did wonder why Scotland was working weeks behind when our figures were lower

I checked the scot gov site at the weekend and on Saturday there were only 35 patients in whole of Scotland in ICU

Really? I'd turned off by then. I agree, fucks sake. I am so fed up.

Sweetpotatoaddict · 18/05/2020 14:17

Fuck knows what she playing at, dread to think the legacy this will leave. Kids with no education for 5 months. Despite padding out the number of cases with suspected cases by testing all hospital admissions aged >70 yrs, they still can’t make the numbers increase.
I’m suspicious on Wednesday we may see the death rate fall so that the excess death rate is zero. Doesn’t seem justified in maintaining lockdown, if this is the case.

Noworrieshere · 18/05/2020 15:08

And fucking garden centres. I don't want to go to a garden centre, i want to see my mum and my dad at the same time.

I am so pissed off. Not a minute longer than necessary she kept saying, it doesn't feel nearly so necessary to me now.

midnightstar66 · 18/05/2020 15:10

It's only a matter of a few weeks, I think she's right to err on the side of caution. Apparently it's more to do with the R rate than the number of deaths - no one is listening anyway, I've never seen the paths near my house so busy with people who are pretty clearly not members of the same household. Ive been going up to to path so that friends and friends of dc can see our puppy from a distance though so I suppose I can't judge

Merename · 18/05/2020 15:11

It’s Thursday they are to publish the ‘roadmap out of lockdown’. Looking forward to having something to look forward to!

lovinglavidaloca · 18/05/2020 15:15

I just want to know if I can get married this year Grin

Jazzled · 18/05/2020 15:17

I agree midnight. I think the idea is to see what happens in England if I'm completely honest and I'm lucky that I have been able to work throughout.

Aside missing my parents lockdown has been ok for us. I read that the R number is still too high also so it makes sense to me to keep us like this a bit longer than open up too early and be back in this in 6 weeks time.

lovinglavidaloca

When are you meant to be betting married?

The lockdown might be okay, it’s the fallout that is terrifying

Invisimamma · 18/05/2020 17:20

Thursday to outline plans, expected that from beginning of June including outdoor sports to be permitted golf, tennis, garden and recycling centres will open, some outdoor work and meeting up with others outside and socially distanced is reportedly to be allowed.

It seems quite clear school won't be returning before August. My out of school care provider has also been in touch to say they are not able to open during the summer holidays.
