Can you do this and shre food if socially distanced? Want to do this with a friend but want to make sure we both are doing the right thing.

Share food? That you’ve all touched/prepared?

Lunch where?

GreyishDays · 17/05/2020 12:04

Are you in England?

Tropical2 · 17/05/2020 12:06

If it's with one person, outdoors and you are 2m apart it would be okay. Assuming you're in England, you are allowed to meet one other person outdoors as long as you socially distance and you are allowed a picnic in the park.

Sharing food sounds dodgy. Social distancing is irrelevant as you’re not supposed to touch the same things without washing your hands afterwards, especially whilst eating, as the virus lives on surfaces too.

YahBasic · 17/05/2020 12:10

I would take your own separate food and meet up in a public place, keeping 2m apart.

PotteringAlong · 17/05/2020 12:10

Just take your own food

Lindjam · 17/05/2020 12:16

Why would you want to share food?

kingkuta · 17/05/2020 13:11

Both bringing your own food would probably be easier

Thisdressneedspockets · 17/05/2020 13:46

Is sharing food a worry? We've had loads of takeaways.

YahBasic · 17/05/2020 13:49

Takeaways aren’t the same as sharing food though.

Assuming it’s a picnic type set up, they will passing and touching the same items between each other.

I’m guessing that you are having a takeaway for your household only.
