In what profession would you be getting weekly covid testing without fail?

Because someone has told me that they are getting tested weekly and are fine 🤷‍♀️

I think there are some research trials testing people regularly to track the spread but I haven’t heard of any workplace testing weekly. Could be wrong but I thought even private testing was scarce.

Unless they work for a company that develops and manufactures tests?

Some HCPS to protect patients .

HCPs working in a famous (& still functioning) London private hospital. Their families have the option of being tested too.

German footballers?

Basically Dd hasn't been seeing her dad as he has part time lodger coming and going between towns, he's basically tried to tell me it's fine for Dd to go there as his lodger is tested weekly through work which I thought was doubtful

I'm pretty sure he isn't anyone overly important in this world that would require that level of testing

I will continue to keep Dd home with me as he just can't keep people out his house every week on video call someone else is there

My sister works for the equivalent of let’s say Tesco in another European country as a HR manager. She never stopped going to work. They reorganised the office to have one person only on 4 seat desks, wear masks and get tested weekly. Obviously this is a cost for the employer.
My UK employer ( financial services) advised us in writing this is not something they would consider.

wow I,m an ICU nurse and none of us have been spot tested. Only get a test if you are symptomatic or you say you need to self isolate and even then you have to sort it yourself through the government portal.
