Government coronavirus stats website - I'm confused!

Are the case numbers cumulative over time, or current active cases? I thought they were cumulative, but the local tier authority ones have gone down since yesterday, so I'm utterly confused!

It's cumulative, but the page has been messed up today and showing data from various days over the last week. Most of it seems to be sorted now but I guess theyve not done the lower tier authorities yet. Try checking back later
