Feeling Isolated

Gingin2306 · 13/05/2020 17:34

I know I'm not alone in feeling isolated, however, i have reached out to a couple of close friends and families about feeling really low and sadly got nothing back. I'd be there for anyone at the drop of a hat if ever in same position. Lockdown has really made me think twice about people. Obviously being stuck at home everything plays on your mind more. Anyone in same situation and tips on managing this? X

Sorry you're low. Flowers

What have you said to them? Was it through text or phone call?

I’m feeling the same on my own with two kids I have got a 2 week sick note from the doctor but all that’s changed is I am no longer trying to work at home with the kids around. I don’t know how much longer I can handle this...

Sorry you are feeling so down. I feel like this week has been particularly difficult, it’s just so never ending. It is so hard not to dwell on things, without any distractions. Plus people who would normally be there to help are obviously dealing with their own problems right now. I wish I could offer you some tips for dealing with it but I’m not dealing with it too well myself!

Thank you for the replies. I have good and bad days and today was a particularly bad day (in tears). It just feels like nothing to look forward to, i had trip to New York booked for end of June which I know will be cancelled. Saved for years and never been on a big adventure! I'm shielding for 12 weeks and getting to the point I can't do this being stuck indoors anymore. I keep myself busy with work as thankful for that but difficult to motivate myself everyday. I know everyone is in the same boat so sorry to go on.....

I feel the same and I'm with my family . Feel like I've lost all direction x

I’m feeling the same even though I live with my DH and dcs. I just feel so down and alone. I also told a couple of friends how I’m feeling but got ‘yeah, we’re all in the same boat!’ type of replies.

I’m sorry I have no advice, just that you’re not alone (even though it feels like it!) Flowers

It is shit. I'm sorry your going through this on your own.
So many friends of mine are facing so many worries , it's heartbreaking. The financial implications will rumble on for ages.
This virus has wrecked havoc.
Keep talking on here. Saying we're all the same boat' does not help at all as each problem is individual to that person.
I hope things improve for you but it's so hard at the moment.

I think its good to keep talking on here too. I felt much better today as i drove to meet a friend for a walk . Made me feel much better . If others have ideas of things to do that would help please share
