When are gyms likely to open?

Do you think gyms might open by July when hair salon, shops etc are due to open?

No, they’ll be the last things to open , maybe sept or Oct

I heard council run leisure centres are opening in July. (Comes under public buildings) I'm presuming private gyms would be the same.

No they’re a total hotbed for germs at the best of times

I think if furlough has been extended until Oct they could be in the last group

Given how shit men some people are about cleaning benches, bars etc after use, would you really want to go?

I’m Interested in this as well. We belong to David Lloyd. I will not be paying my full price if we cannot go as well did before. They have already been talking about limiting class sizes and taking out machines.
I’m happy to use them but only when it is safe to do so.

IF they open pubs in July, possibly gyms will open then too.

Staff will be needing to clean all equipment properly at the end of each day and you may be expected to anti bac wipe the equipment after use too

They just said in the briefing that if things go in the right direction, then leisure centres will open July 4th

I can't wait for the gym to re-open. I never understand why people make such a fuss about others not sanitising their equipment after use. Of course it is the polite thing to do, but the sensible thing is for each person to sanitise the equipment to their own satisfaction before they use it.

I wonder how many current gym goers will cancel memberships when they do reopen? It seems like a lot of people are enjoying their new home workout routines!
