How are we meant to carry on any longer without them, Daughters new glasses weren’t ready by lockdown we really need them and she’s had her brace elastics in for months they should have been changed beginning of April arghh!!

I'm really worried about this. My DS has a serious health condition that requires monitoring every 3 months by the eye unit - including an eye app, field of vision testing and a consultants app. Fortunately we had just had his eyes tested just before lockdown, but his field of vision was cancelled and who knows when it'll get rearranged for Sad. I understand why it can't be done, but if DS is left and his vision starts failing then he'll be left with irreversible damage

I sent my orthodontist pictures of my teeth and he advised how to place my elastics to move my teeth on. Certainly working today (ouch). When I needed wires snipping at the back, the duty orthodontist at my local NHS clinic did it for me because it was causing pain.

My eldest has cerebral palsy and hasnt seen physio since lockdown started (she usually has weekly input at school) Her splints also need changing. Was due to be measured the week of lockdown. Its a bit of a nightmare

I had an already-overdue dental hygiene appointment arranged for the day after my dental practice shut. My teeth stain easily, so they look awful right now. I do understand the risk though and keeping dental staff safe from covid is more important than my vanity! Not like I'm going out anywhere without a mask on anyway.

I'll be very pleased when it's safe for them to open again, though.

Anyone who needs glasses, if you have your prescription you can order a cheap pair online from a site called Goggles 4 U. Not ideal, but better than nothing if yours have broken. (Other sites may be available, that's just the one I ordered from).
