What slogan would you have liked instead?

I have forgotten both the old & new ones already, but I pick up that Stay-Alert is part of the new slogan, although many folk find 'Stay Alert' too vague.

Suppose you were tasked with marketing a new slogan, that was about being allowed to go out (so you need to move away from simple Stay Home). Would you have said...

"Stay safe", "Stay Distant", "Watch out" or ... what?

I like "Stay Distant".

'Had enough of crap slogans'

I'd prefer some policy rather than crap slogans.

lljkk · 10/05/2020 17:09

aw come on RTB, you could at least be funny in your refusal!
"Slogans are for Losers" I think might be yours.

"Go to work" I'd have preferred

Foobydoo · 10/05/2020 17:10

I agree with redtoothbrush.
'No more slogans'. Treat us like adults, please.

Whatsuppp · 10/05/2020 17:10

"Use common sense"

Justmuddlingalong · 10/05/2020 17:13

Keep your distance
Keep the heid
Keep washin yer hauns

LindainLockdown · 10/05/2020 17:19

I also wish there was no need for a slogan of any kind, we did use to exist quite well without slogans and soundbites. Politics is now just a dumbed down pile of shite.

SummerHouse · 10/05/2020 17:20

Buy fudge, don't judge, if your in someone's space, just budge.

To lengthy?

Pinkflipflop85 · 10/05/2020 17:20

'Use your common sense'.

SummerHouse · 10/05/2020 17:22

Ooooh pink "no memes no"

PuppyMonkey · 10/05/2020 17:24

Good efforts, SummerHouse. :)

itchyfinger · 10/05/2020 17:27

"Nurseries are open, but offices aren't. Stay home, relax."

WarmFunKindStrong · 10/05/2020 17:27

Keep your distance...(along with the wash hands, cover coughs and sneezes, avoid touching your face...)

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 10/05/2020 17:28

"Stop fucking complaining and stay at home"

"newspapers lie, follow guidance or die"

" stay home, shut up and get on with it"

"2 metre rule, keep your distance you fool"

totiredtocare · 10/05/2020 17:29

We don't need a bloody crap slogan. We need clear guidance. Stay Alert?!! Does that mean I can visit my mum or not?!!

Topseyt · 10/05/2020 17:33

I don't doubt that some people would have liked it changed to "Stay the Fuck Home", but I am not one of them.

I'm not particularly into "clever" slogans and mottoes.

Inkpaperstars · 10/05/2020 18:11

To be fair I suppose, by their standards, govt skill in producing meaningful slogans has improved a lot in a short time. We've got to remember that their main previous effort was 'Brexit means Brexit'.

Lonelymum11 · 10/05/2020 18:12

"Nurseries are open, but offices aren't. Stay home, relax."

Ooh yes, this one please!

RedToothBrush · 10/05/2020 18:21

aw come on RTB, you could at least be funny in your refusal!

I might just steal the Top Gear Law of

'don't be a dick'.

The only other obvious measure would be for Boris now to encourage people to wear masks at least in shops or on public transport.

KittenVsBox · 10/05/2020 18:27

I'd go for:
"Sturgeon is in charge,
Do as she says"

mrshoho · 10/05/2020 18:31

do as we say
not as we do
and do it now!

MyMelodie · 10/05/2020 18:35

“Careful now”
“Down with this sort of thing”
