Panicking about new symptoms

I’m not sure whether to call 111 or not. For the past three nights I’ve had deep muscle pain in my hip and legs. So much it wakes me at night and with paracetamol it’s goes away. During the day it’s not so bad if I rest.
I’ve started feeling not quite right. A bit out of it, slightly dizzy, more tired than usual and today my chest feels a bit heavy.
Using the 111 online symptom checker it says due to the pain I should see a doctor but I can’t can I?
Shall I assume it’s coronavirus or speak to 111?
I’m so anxious about this which probably isn’t helping at all.
Should I isolate from DH and the children?

But you are feeling worse your symptoms fit with the progression of lyme disease and it is as dangerous as COVID (just not infectious and rarer)

I would try and get some different antibiotics - what one did you react to last time and get the blood test.

Realitea · 09/05/2020 18:49

I will ask on Monday first thing to be switched to amoxicillin. I know I’ll be ok on those. Then I’ll have the blood tests aswell.

OP, the infographic artist is actually Mona Chalabi - I love her work 🙂.

Hope you get sorted and feel better soon.

Feeling worse today and seriously considering A&E
I was up all night in pain, today feeling hot and sick. Can’t walk too well. I’m trying to stay calm at the moment 😬

You can go to A & E, or call out of hours op, do it if necessary.

fedupfrida · 10/05/2020 09:48

Go to A&E!
They are so quiet at the moment and they are taking all precautions. You can’t ignore such strong symptoms for fear of another potential illness.
I hope you’re ok.

Quartz2208 · 10/05/2020 09:49

Go to A&E paralysis is also Lymes and I think it needs at the very least discounting. Because if it is you need antibiotics now

Gunpowder · 10/05/2020 09:49

Yes I’d go to a&e too. Hope you are ok.

Roomba · 10/05/2020 09:52

My friend tested positive and her only symptoms were the muscle pains and tiredness really. Bit of a headache on a couple of days at the start. I will say though that the muscle pain and exhaustion lasted weeks - it was about a month before she felt back to 'normal'. So even a very mild case isn't much fun.

Realitea · 10/05/2020 09:53

I’m going soon. Feel so sick. Dodgy stomach aswell so getting ready to leave all dignity at the door

I hope by now you are being seen at A&E. Going was definitely the right decision.

Realitea · 10/05/2020 11:11

It was a hard decision but I’m here now, it seems safe enough with red zones and green zones.
Hopefully I’ll be seen soon

Good luck and a hand hold 🙂!

Realitea · 10/05/2020 13:49

I’m home 😀 thanks for the hand hold.
I felt quite on edge being there but I told myself lots of people work there in non corona parts of the hospital and they’re all ok..
they think it’s just muscular and not giving antibiotics and I just have to have paracetamol regularly.

Hope you'll be ok OP. Flowers

Ducky1610 · 10/05/2020 21:16

Hope you’re ok OP . I woke in middle of night last night with intense leg pain and have had this all day along with pins and needles in hands . Feeling a wee bit worried if I am honest .

Realitea · 10/05/2020 22:40

Hi, I’m ok, a bit worried but feeling better pain wise than I have done. I’ve got a really mild cold and then I’m worried if I’ve picked up anything today. Apart from that I’m ok!
It’s not nice having to ‘wait and see’ Is it? I’d call 111 if I were you and it’s still there tomorrow

incognitomum · 11/05/2020 00:29

Glad you're ok OP.
