Is it ok to pop to the local Co-op for fruit or milk or bread in between your supermarket shop?

Yes of course

Sparklingbrook · 08/05/2020 21:17

Why would it not be?

SpeedofaSloth · 08/05/2020 21:19

Yes.

TheThingWithFeathers · 08/05/2020 21:20

It's fine. Get some chocolate while you're there!

Sparklingbrook · 08/05/2020 21:21

Yes and some cider and crisps.

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 08/05/2020 21:22

And vodka and ice cream

Sparklingbrook · 08/05/2020 21:23

And some Sherbert Fountains and Gummi Bears.

rawlikesushi · 08/05/2020 21:24

You're allowed out to buy food. They recommend a weekly shop but that's not possible for everyone, and it's inevitable that people will run out of things between 'big shops' too.

Disneylover4321 · 08/05/2020 21:25

@Sparklingbrook

I had just seen people saying that you shouldn't.

@EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall

"Vodka" Haha!

OP posts:
CruCru · 08/05/2020 21:26

Yes, definitely.

georgialondon · 08/05/2020 21:26

100%!

Littlebelina · 08/05/2020 21:27

Yes! There is always something that gets forgotten or can't be bought in our big shop or runs out (as we are at home more) so we often have to top up. Try to limit it but it's unavoidable sometimes

Disneylover4321 · 08/05/2020 21:27

@rawlikesushi

I know, I do try to go weekly but if I run out of fruit or milk I can't just tell my DS that he can't have fruit or milk for 5 days.

Actually the guy at the corner shop told me fake Bailey's in ice cream is really nice. Especially the strawberry one

Phifedean123 · 08/05/2020 21:28

Yes of course! A bottle of wine usually falls into my basket too 🤷‍♀️

Disneylover4321 · 08/05/2020 21:28

@Littlebelina

I do keep it to an absolute minimum.

OP posts:
Disneylover4321 · 08/05/2020 21:28

Haha! Same!

Sparklingbrook · 08/05/2020 21:28

Well those people are wrong and how will they know? You are allowed to get food. Plus fruit, milk and bread are staples.

Pinkflipflop85 · 08/05/2020 21:29

Yes. Ignore the dementors who make up their own rules.

sweetkitty · 08/05/2020 21:30

I can’t actually get a full weeks shop in the one trolley plus I need a top up of fruit usually mid-week. Used to get a delivery then top up mid-week. Now I’m doing two shops a week.

Disneylover4321 · 08/05/2020 21:30

@georgialondon

Thank you. It was just that I had seen people say that you shouldn't or that you can't.

OP posts:
2beautifulbabs · 08/05/2020 21:31

Yes it's fine fresh produce doesn't last a full week or longer we have to pop to a smaller Tesco express mid week to pick up fruit milk and bread I have two I've got two young DCs who depend on being fed well.

Littlebelina · 08/05/2020 21:32

Tbh I think if you need to go, go (even if that's just for gummy bears if that's what you need to get you through the day). It's just shops are such a depressing experience at the moment that I try to avoid.

Disneylover4321 · 08/05/2020 21:39
