Children - Is this COVID?

My children (both 10 yo) are having fever since yesterday.
It ranges from 38 to 39.5
Both had stomach cramps and bit loose.
My son just vomited - 12h after the fever started.

We have been staying at home since March. Once a week walk and not touching anything.

My husband had to go to work last week but travels by own car and distancing from very limited number and mostly works alone.
None of us adults have symptoms yet.
Our food gets mostly delivered and kids have not been to any shops.
I am out of my wits! How is this even possible?
I spoke to our GP yesterday afternoon and they said to stay put if things get worse.
Even if it is a stomach bug I do not see how my children got infected.
They have been home and only out for a walk once a week?

Sounds like a bug from something they ate.

We eat at home. Not had takeaway in ages.
We all eat the same food and packaging was my initial guess rather than food.

I would have said a stomach bug from their symptoms. Hopefully they feel better soon.

You can get stomach bugs from any kind of food, doesn’t have to be takeaway.

Honestly if their only symptoms are raised temperature and stomach aches and one episode of vomiting, it doesn’t sound like you need to be worried and it doesn’t sound like Covid. I hope they’re feeling better soon.

I agree that it has all symptoms of food poisoning.
Possibly from chicken we had 2 days ago.
I am sure I cooked it well or thought so.
