No thanks.

BirdieFriendReturns · 07/05/2020 12:01

I know somebody who insists she isn’t going back to work for 18 months but she’s still going to get a salary apparently.

🤷🏻‍♀️

A recession of that size will likely kill more people than the virus at this rate. It’s terrifying.

LilacTree1 · 07/05/2020 12:09

I'm with you OP.

There are local vulnerable people going round carefully scanning the pavements for change.

I think the trouble with the "endless lockdown" crew is they live in such nice places, they will never see the trouble caused.

Cantata · 07/05/2020 12:10

I would like to go back to work before my sector collapses completely (no income for me at all at the moment).

LilacTree1 · 07/05/2020 12:18

Cantata I won't ask what your sector is but I was thinking about theatre.

I used to occasionally get £10 tickets for the NT. Now a lot of theatres have said they will be closed till October and if Johnson's plans are really bad, it could be worse than that.

I think theatre will either collapse or become the preserve of the very, very wealthy.

Alex50 · 07/05/2020 12:21

@Cantata sorry to hear that Flowers i’m more scared of the economic calapse than the virus. Mass unemployment, no money, homelessness

I loved going to the theatre with my daughter once a month😞

I am also concerned about the impact on the arts, culture is something we vitally need in all is guises

Mumthedogsbeensick · 07/05/2020 13:06

I want to but I'm not sure when it will happen-I work at an opticians and routine eye exams are not an option at the moment.
