Do we think they will re-open at the same time as schools? I can’t see how social distancing is going to work with groups of toddlers and preschoolers.

There will be no social distancing in nurseries, it cant be done.

I work in a nursery, I’m wandering the same! No correspondence from the owners, other than they’re confident we will be back soon due to the fact working parents will need childcare!

There will be no social distancing but we will have to be very strict on cleaning etc x

I don’t think children will have to maintain social distancing. Those who work there will need to and also wash hands multiple times. Parents will also be expected to maintain it at drop off and pick up, as well as use hand sanitiser.

We’ve stayed open for key worker children. Social distancing for this age group is impossible. We haven’t allowed parents or visitors into the building. Children wash hands on arrival and through the day.

When we do open again for everyone parents are going to have to decide the risk for themselves as the children will be playing together without social distancing with either other children or staff. We’re anticipating that shielding families or those who can keep children home may delay sending children back because of this lack of social distancing.

It is way too soon to open them to non key workers' children.

I'm really interested to see what the plan is on sunday. Wales are doing their announcement at 12:30 today so will watch that with interest.

Wont be any social distancing but plenty of hand washing. Not sure what else nursery work at hasnt said much. Knowing them first thing they'll tell us is surprise we are now opening back to work we go..whenever that may be.
