So just before the lockdown I started with a horrific cough (one hour i was fine, next I was seriously hacking away!) I felt hot but didn’t have a temperature- mind you my thermometer said 34 for 6 readings so not too reliable. Some other stupid symptoms like a painful stomach, no appetite and knackered. A work colleague was diagnosed (hospitalised) so pretty sure I had it...

I started to feel better and then felt rubbish again suddenly really breathless about A week later.

Anyway.. the point of my post is.. my cough started 6 weeks ago and I’m still struggling to do ANY exercise. I did 15 minutes on the cross trainer and I’m coughing so much I’m not sure if I want to be sick or wee myself (TMI I know!)
I get really whezzie and start coughing. It’s almost like I suddenly have asthma.
I’m not dying.. I don’t need to call 111 and at some point (when they aren’t too busy) i will call the doctor to discuss... but I just want an
I the only one?!

Has anyone else had this experience???

Yes I am pretty sure I caught it mid January although I can't be sure. I think I might have got it from a kennels I work in where I come into contact with people who have traveled all over. Started off with a high temperature, feeling terrible and restless, and on that first night I only had about 3 hours sleep and had to keep getting up to drink lots of water, then the cough came really quickly the following day. A really uncontrollable cough, then after that roughly 3 weeks of on and off feeling like someone was pressing on my chest, breathlessness keeping having to pause when talking, but the worst part for me was headaches every day for about 10 days. Couldn't sleep on my side only on my back but propped up. The symptoms were worse some days than others I found myself feeling better but then a bit breathless again. I think I had it mildly.

Will never know for certain if it was that, but I have never had an illness like that before. I assumed at the time that it was just a bad chest infection that lingered (which it could still have been of course).
