Raspy voice gastric problems

Hi all,

Dh has had raspy voice awful heartburn and tummy problems for the last week, slight cough but has always been a cougher and I've not noticed any change in it? He is also sleeping a lot(also not a big difference in my dh)! Are these symptoms when he dosent have the actual top 2 I.e temp and cough

I'm using the COVID trackervapp and one of the questions they ask is "is your voice hoarser than usual". Dh had mild COVID and a hoarse voice was his main symptom. So yes, it might be. You may also find a cough develops at the end of the first week.

My 2 year olds had a weak voice for two days. I'm abit worried. But we've also not been anywhere. We've had shopping delivered and milkman comes too.

We go for walks but we are not near people.

It could be acid reflux. I'd chat to the GP as sudden onset of persistent heartburn shouldn't be ignored

I'd say more likely GERD/reflux/hiatus hernia rather than covid. Actually acid reflux type things are one of the most common causes of a persistent cough. If no fever and not feeling unwell otherwise. He should make a GP appointment.

I suffer with heartburn (anything set it off including water) and I had a night time cough. About 2-3 times a year I'd have a cold and a hoarse voice that lasted weeks and weeks.

Early March I went to my gp and asked for Lanzoprazole and my heartburn and night time cough seems to has gone!
