How long for test results to come back?

Just curious what the average time is. I was told to allow 5 days at the test centre but online says they aim for 48hrs. Has anyone got any experience of getting results from a test centre swabbing?

Mine took a week, and that was only after lots of chasing. I was tested at a drive through pre booked appointment

Yes, drive through but it was as an NHS employee.

A relative had his test result back in 48 hours, drive through test, he's non-NHS.
