A&E

I had chest pain last night and am in middle of heart investigations before the pandemic began. So I went to A&E on advice of 111 and OOH GP. They sent me to the red A&E (Covid side) due to a lingering cough. I was in there 4 hours. Side room. Chest x-ray, bloods and ECG. Saw 2 nurses and a Doc. We were all wearing masks. I had hand gel. When I got home I stripped off, everything in washing machine, then straight in shower. How at risk am I now? I'm worried because I have a vulnerable family member.

You were in a side room which would have been cleaned down after the last person and you were all wearing masks, you’ve used hand gel then stripped and showered. I would say you have minimised the risk as much as possible so try not to worry-not easy I know.

Thanks. It's hard not to panic. I didn't really encounter other patients but I was scared of catching it from the staff :(
