Why do some days show as " Sorry all slots have been filled for this date, try another date" and other days show as "unavailable" in every slot.

What's the difference?

The ones with the times mean they aren't released for booking yet

The ones that say none available show that you've had a delivery in the same week so you cannot are anymore slots in that week

PotteryLottery · 02/05/2020 17:38

I have a delivery saver plan...have they communicated to us that we can only have 1 delivery a week?

chocolateisavegetable · 02/05/2020 17:50

I also have a delivery saver plan, and the first I knew that we could only have 1 delivery a week was when I read it on MN! I did then check it was correct on the Tesco site, but it's not great that they didn't inform us!

WobblyAllOver · 02/05/2020 17:58

Yes one per week now. I also have a delivery pass although they are not charging for it at the moment.

As I am getting deliveries for elderly shielding family members I have had to use morrisons alongside tesco and have paid for their delivery pass. Will be interesting to see if morrisons are better than tescos because if they are I might stick with them after the restrictions end. Morrisons don't have the 1 delivery per week restriction either.

PotteryLottery · 02/05/2020 17:59

Yes I don't recall receiving a communication about it either.

WobblyAllOver · 02/05/2020 18:01

I didn't get any communication either and I read all the emails they sent out about how they were doing. If it wasn't for seeing it on here I would have been looking every day unnecessarily to try and get my relatives a slot in the same week as mine.

CarpeVitam · 02/05/2020 18:17

🤔. Well I've never had a delivery but when I check I get the Try Another Date message

georgialondon · 02/05/2020 18:22

They are no longer charging ppl who have the delivery saver plan due to the changes. I got an email saying this.

WobblyAllOver · 02/05/2020 18:50

I got an email for that when people were struggling to get any delivery slots due to high demands. However at that time as I stayed up to 2am I could get multiple slots in the week. It was only recently they stopped you having more than one per week.

Catlover10 · 02/05/2020 18:53

Most people are struggling to get a slot at all (me included) so feel lucky you get one a week! 🤗

Bearbehind · 02/05/2020 18:59

I think the 1 delivery a week is fair enough - what continues to irk me is the 80 item limit

Please make it 100 at least

WobblyAllOver · 02/05/2020 19:04

The once a week slot for an address I think is fair. The problem I have is a relative does not have internet access and is shielding and thus I can't get them a slot the same week even for a different address. But having found morrisons I plan to use them instead and will compare how good they are.

Bearbehind · 02/05/2020 19:44

You can have more than one account - just set up a new email address

The problem is, without any order history, you probably won’t get a slot

PotteryLottery · 02/05/2020 21:53

I've got slots booked for 13th and 19th so it must be possible to have more than 1 a week.

OP posts:
Bearbehind · 02/05/2020 22:12

The 13th and 19th are in different calendar weeks

Tesco’s weeks must be Sunday to Saturday or Monday to Sunday

PotteryLottery · 02/05/2020 22:35

I can't believe that haven't communicated this to us. I've been a delivery customer for almost a decade!

EasterIssland · 02/05/2020 22:43

Even if they’ve not. Do you really need 2 orders on the same week ? Would you cancel your subscription because of it ?

ThursdayLastWeek · 02/05/2020 22:46

If you go on the website it’s all written out there.

I only figured it out when I saw they refunded me half of marchs delivery saver charge.

I didn’t get an email, assumed I opted out at some point.

Branster · 02/05/2020 22:50

Once a week is plenty but they should remove the restriction on number of items.
Tesco has been such a hit& miss for me, I am very close to giving up. And all this stupid o’clock slit releases is madness.
Sainsburys on the other hand seem to manage available slots quite often so will stick with them whilst it lasts.
All others haven’t worked for me.
The whole is quite exhausting.

WobblyAllOver · 03/05/2020 05:41

Yes I need two when booking for vulnerable family members. I don't plan to cancel yet but my DH did say if Morrisons are just as good or better we should think about swopping after the lockdown as we know we save money shopping there over Tesco's. The only reason we haven't had them before is that they never used to deliver to our area and I always get weekly deliveries.

Missmummy88 · 03/05/2020 07:04

I had managed to book two slots 7 days apart but they cold heartedly deleted the 2nd one leaving my 2.5 weeks between deliveries. Luckily I managed to get an ASDA slot and I am now alternating weeks between the two.
