No one's clapping in my neighbourhood. What's happened?

You must be so lucky. Fucking morons around here setting off fireworks and air horns.

The nhs staff are literally dying. No one is up in arms, they'd rather channel their energy into parading. I'm getting more angry as the weeks pass

LilacTree1 · 30/04/2020 20:08

Lucky you
it was quieter this week though

But then it was also a bit quieter the week before last. Perhaps weather etc has a connection.

Hopefully people are realising this is all ass backwards.

Notonmyshift · 30/04/2020 20:12

No one out around my way.
Must only count if it's sunny 😀

ParkheadParadise · 30/04/2020 20:18

Count yourself lucky
We had 2 kids in our cul-de-sac singing somewhere over the rainbow badly. Hopefully none of my neighbours can lip read as dh hissed in my ear jesus christ when lockdowns over were bloody moving.🤣🤣🤣

My road was really quiet too (busy built-up area in central London). Lots of pots & pans last week, fireworks, cars honking their horns - this week barely a ripple, and it petered out almost straight away.

EyeShipMiceElf · 30/04/2020 20:24

Was the loudest it’s ever been round my way. Clackers, bloody fireworks (dog HATES them and has a condition where she can’t deal with stress)
car horns blasting out.
Don’t mind the clapping but it’s like a competition now to make the most noise.
