Just that really. I guess key workers can be included in any potential social bubbles
Plans because we are already mixing with lots of other people..?

There are no social bubbles. It’s pure speculation from the Daily Mail.

Itisasecret · 29/04/2020 22:22

There is no such thing, the press made it up.

ToldYouOnce · 29/04/2020 22:23

What is social bubbling?

Smellbellina · 29/04/2020 22:23

Not even heard of social bubbles?

starrynight19 · 29/04/2020 22:25

I thought Nicola Sturgeon talked about this. But yeah I gues we can’t be involved as we are already mixing with others.

lockdownbirthdayhelp · 29/04/2020 22:30

The daily mail didn't make this up. Nicola sturgeon spoke about it as a possibility for people in Scotland.
I've no idea about key workers. I'm pregnant and dh has asthma so I'd assume it wouldn't be advisable for us. I'd love ds to even be able to play with his cousin or best friend for an hour or two in the garden Sad

How on earth would that idea work? As a family of four with two sons of 19 and 21, both currently home from uni, I can imagine that DH and I could agree on common friends to meet. However, DS1 and DS2 will obviously have their own friends who don't overlap. So are we now a bubble of 30 ish people? Where are people going to meet? If our friends come to us, then does that mean that the DSs' friends should not also come here? But then where do they go? I would like to see my best friend but she has four children (3 of them adults) so when I see her I am potentially being exposed to the virus via all her interactions with them and vice versa. It just doesn't seem possible for this not to be a free-for-all?
