Now, on the one hand I DO love spending more time with my little cherubs & the love of my life. But jeeeeze it JUST me or is everyone else's kids & DPs having 1-3 massive meltdowns every fucking day?!?! 😤😤😤😤🤬🤬🤬🤬😱😱😱😱😱

Mine have last 2 days

6 dc and a dh here. May have a freshly laid patio before this is over. ..
Keep rechecking ebay rules to see if you can sell dc on there yet....

I think it's a sign you're a good parent!! Mine have been good as gold all lockdown - largely because I am letting them do what they want - ie. screens all day every day! If I was being a good mum (encouraging homework etc..), I'm sure there would be more resistance and hence more meltdowns!!

It was me who had the meltdown today. My kids have been great on the whole! But today they grated on me hugely, they happened to be breathing.

Feeling guilty. Man I need some time alone.

I don't know who has more. Me or the kids.
I have teen who thinks school work should be for sch only.! Mega issues just wants to play the console.. I The one day I got him to do a decent amount of work he came down after 10 min and said it was his school break time. In a sarcastic manner. So I made sure his lunch break was 25min like sch. He'd completed the work fairly quick and said he was going to play fifa.. I chirpily replied.. Its still a school day till 2.45pm.theb you have a half hour walk home. Pmsl... I WIN.
But seriously. A teen with attitude., a toddler who we've gone no dummy and toilet trained along with terrible 2s.
And a 3m old who seems to have separation issues already I've had a few meltdowns.
I've been so glad dh is furloughed I don't even mind the pay cut for my sanity.
I've even managed to get loads of DIY done. ( I prefer DIY to dh) so I can escape so to speak

The teen Constantly teases toddler.. I mean what's that about.

Possibly me more than the kids, dh usually gets it all when he gets in.

The pre teen, well he is the biggest skiver I've ever known. Usually by the time he's done moaning about the slow WiFi, how the school work is too easy, how the website doesn't work he's telling me it's break time at school

Yep. Ds had a massive meltdown because he can't go to preschool. Dd has decided she's dropping her nap but gets so grumpy by 4pm. Dh is stressed about his job (still working not sure for how much longer if some major clients don't green light some work this week). I've told dh if he gets furloughed, he's on child care duty and I'm off to find a job...any job. Preferably one at the other end of the country.

Mine were lovely all Easter holidays and ok for this past week of home schooling and then AWFUL this weekend. I think it’s a reaction to the school work and am going to ignore half of it from tomorrow.

My two teenagers are fine. Its the 23 year old who came home complete with boyfriend that is a problem. There's a reason that adult kids should leave home and never move back.
