Is lockdown making anyone else broody??

I think it's because everyone's home. I'm a SAHM with 3dc so it's nice having the company and help.

Is it just me??

Nope. Love 2 year old DD to bits but this experience is confirming that we’re definitely one and done!

lynsey91 · 25/04/2020 14:31

Oh yes what a great time to be getting pregnant! Only an idiot would think about it at the moment

Diyhaircutgonewrong · 25/04/2020 14:35

goodness, hell no fucking way!!

FourTeaFallOut · 25/04/2020 14:38

Yes, definitely a bit broody. I had a really vivid dream about having another baby the night before last and I was wandering around with my family with this adorable baby in a gorgeous sling with that kind of serene floaty glow that only happens in adverts - and I woke up to feel like I was missing something.

It'll pass. It'll never happen. But still, it was nice while it lasted.

Tsubasa1 · 25/04/2020 14:41

In any case its made me less broody!

Helenj1977 · 25/04/2020 14:42

Oh no, maybe I am genuinely broody then!!

Dp would love another one. I'm keen to wait a while to see what happens virus wise. Maybe at the end of the year I'll think seriously about it!!

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!

angelopal · 25/04/2020 14:46

Hell no. We are both working from home while trying to home school a six year old and entertain a 2 year old. Can not imagine adding another one to the mix.

pinkorchid1 · 25/04/2020 14:48

I'm home with a 3 yr old and a 16 month old, and insanely jealous of my childless friends right now.

SandrasAnnoyingFriend · 25/04/2020 14:51

Fuck no! Can't imagine anything worse

rottiemum88 · 25/04/2020 14:54

Absolutely not and if I'd known lockdown was coming I'd have even delayed having DS for a couple of years Grin

ElonsMusk · 25/04/2020 15:01

Yes. Would love to have another.

We were planning on TTC but have put it on hold due to all this and with pregnant women being vulnerable. I’d hate to be pregnant right now as much as I want another.

Knocksomesense · 25/04/2020 15:04

It's making me broody. I'm home with my 2 year old and 3 year old. It's such a nice break from the hamster wheel we are on of both working and studying. I usually work evenings and it's nice to have that time back. I'm well aware that life will return to normal at some point and another child would be mad

amazedmummy · 25/04/2020 15:05

Nope! DS is only 5 months and I'm so grateful that he's still small and doesn't need homeschool right now. Since there may be more situations like this in the future it's reaffirmed that we only want one.

Gillian1980 · 25/04/2020 15:05

Completely the opposite!
I truly love my kids but they’re driving me bananas and no way on earth could I contemplate another.

Italiandreams · 25/04/2020 15:54

Massively, I have a nearly two year old so thinking about the next one anyway. However, as other said putting if off for now, too worried to do anything at the moment. However not getting any younger so hoping the situation gets better sooner rather than later .

Rojelio · 25/04/2020 16:13

I've just had my second and I'm certainly done... I'm hoping my DH will have the snip as soon as everything is back up and running.... he'd seemed on the same page but mentioned some reservations the other day.
I made it clear there's no chance of any more from my side of things.
Snip is up to him but either way I'm done!

Bigfishylittlefishy · 25/04/2020 16:17

In a nutshell no. Sounds like after some time to think and be still, you’re just plain old broody.

IdblowJonSnow · 25/04/2020 16:31

No!

Amberellaa · 29/08/2020 21:16

Yes! You're not the only one! Super broody but might just be because I'm bored. I'm always fairly broody as I had a miscarriage a few years back - I keep thinking it will pass but lockdown has definitely made it stronger! Actually at the point now where I've practically decided! Just need to move back into my own place (lost my job due to lockdown so had to move into a friends house). So won't be until after lockdown but it definitely helped make it clearer in my head x

Ginfordinner · 29/08/2020 21:25

You have 3 already. Why do you want another one? Would you feel done after 4?

notsohothotchoc · 29/08/2020 21:30

Absolutely not.
Regretting my life choices right now

Kmx123 · 29/08/2020 23:57

Short answer no
Long answer noooooooo

Gingerfish91 · 30/08/2020 00:50

I’ve got 3 kids and I’ve never been broody so definitely not now!

LolaLollypop · 30/08/2020 09:11

I had my 2nd just before lockdown. Trust me, being on your own with a newborn and an unruly toddler is seriously hard work! I'd never want to go through that again...
