6 week cough

I started with a cough about 6 or 7 weeks ago. Not continuous, a few times a day. No temp or anything, do have a snotty nose though for the entire time. Assumed hay fever.

This morning I've had a massive coughing fit from a tickle. I ended up being sick a few times. I can still feel the tickle. It isn't a cough that produces mucus.

I'm absolutely sure it isn't covid, I've no temp or anything at all.

I'm 19 weeks pregnant and been isolated at home for 5 weeks with my children.

Any suggestions for helping with the cough? Would you see a GP?

I'm thinking that all they'll tell me is to isolate, which I am doing anyway.

Due my 20 week scan on friday too.

I would speak to gp, asthma can start in pregnancy and my asthma cough sounds very similar.

Could be reflux coming up and irritating your throat with being pregnant.

I rang the doctor today and had a telephone appointment. They said it sounds like a post-Covid cough, nothing that can be done except wait it out. They have however given me a low steroid inhaler to see if that helps
