when we have been in lockdown for 4.5 weeks, is the incubation period longer than 2 weeks?

I saw on the news that the transmission rate has dropped from 4 to 0.7 so slowing down the spread but not eliminating it altogether and keeping it below 1 means the virus will eventually die out

Two reasons really

  1. You can't eliminate ALL social interaction (as pp have shown)
  2. It's incredibly contagious

If it's come down from 4 to 0.7, that tbh is better than I expected out of a half arsed lockdown, which is what we've had for a lot of the time.

I was diagnosed through symptoms and ct scan so pretty sure had it and caught it off our dd. I had no symptoms beforehand and had a sudden temperature. The cough didnt appear for another 3 days so any one in the supermarket or park could pass it on easily.
I went to the supermarket yesterday for the first time since lockdown/being I'll and although there was efforts made to distance with markings I was surprised how people were just like normal. A woman leaned over me to grab something and many shoppers were chatting in the aisles. Saw people feeling the fruit etc and putting back. After reading the news for the last few weeks it really came as a shock as I was expecting everyone to be ultra careful about distancing.
