Have the rules on self isolation and exercise changed? (Again?)

I have a screenshot from a few weeks ago that says that those in self-isolation should not go out except for exercise once a day. I needed to send it to a friend who was asking.

Now, because of a comment someone made to me yesterday, I checked back - it now says those in self-isolation must exercise within their home.

I'm a bit cross about this. Was this change of policy flagged when it was made? I've not seen it in the papers. If I'd had to self isolate in the last few weeks (which I haven't), I might have inadvertently done the wrong thing. Fortunately we've all been well, but I wish they'd stop changing the rules.

Does anyone know how long this version has been in effect?

(And it says you can use your own garden - we have a communal garden and a balcony. We'd be nearer to someone else on the balcony than in the garden, probably, but it sounds like communal gardens would be barred too? Ours is co-owned, so it is our property.)

(And I say "changed again", because early on the NHS website and the GOV website were different, hence why I took a screenshot of the rules.)

I want to so the right thing but I just want to know what I am expected to do to.

Yes it's changed from 9th April apparently. I couldn't go for a walk as I was in household isolation.

Thanks - well, I missed that entirely. Blush

@Singing at midnight sorry I know this is an old thread, but do you still have that screenshot?

You can practice some common sense here. It's one thing not going out if in a city and you will have people near you almost as soon as you are outside your front door than a more rural area where you may not see anyone.
If using a communal garden just try when no one else is there, or when you can stay at least 2m apart. The virus is much harder to get in an open environment.

Thank you so much!
I am not going mad after all (that's how I remember the advice back then).
