Sorry it’s a Daily Mail link but interesting none the less. Apparently a few shops and takeaways like KFC and Burger King have started to reopen some of their outlets and there is a lot more traffic on the roads. I am pleased to see B&Q reopen, I thought DIY shops were always allowed to trade as essential retailers anyway. This all seems sensible if people stick to the 2m rule and use contactless payments/self service tills. I would also like to see hand sanitiser dispensers at all entrances/exits.

I think those restaurants are open for deliveries and drive through, not necessarily for general public. I dont mind if they can keep their staff safe. This does not seem to be the case in France there the conditions for staff are atrocious, and many are really scared going to work.

None of those retailers had to close in the first place, though.

I assume many closed to try and figure out how to operate safely. Now they can, they're re-opening as per the guidelines.

Lots of 0laces closed because they didn't have specific guidance. And also as a PR stunt.

My friends employer (not one of the ones mentioned) was pillored on social media, peers Morgan got involved. The fact that business could have stayed open, seemed to have missed peoples attention. There was social distancing policies in place.

They closed and are now starting to ramp up again. They have specific guidance for their business, made some additional changes and are on week two of ramp up.

The company I work for is doing the same from next week.

Its almost like the lockdown, is unofficially relaxing.
