How deadly is coronavirus?

Does anyone know if there has been any update on the case fatality rate since the figures from the WHO at the beginning of March? I believe they were estimating a CFR of around 3.6% at that point. Is it still that high?

It’s different for every country. I think - I may be wrong - it’s between 1-3%, very much dependent on underlying health conditions, age and so on.

We don't know, we have no idea how many people have had the virus but were asymptomatic.

I don’t think they can give a definite figure at this stage as too much is unknown. At a population level though I understand the estimates are no more than 1%, possibly 0.5%.

Very age dependent. If you are under 50 you are extremely unlikely to die from covid
