The Vicar came past our house. I was at the window with the baby and she saw me so she came in the garden. I had window open and we were talking.
I’m paranoid it wasn’t 2meters and the window was open.

My husband just got tape measure and measured how far I was from window, because I’m so paranoid, I was stood 1.4m from the window inside, and she was outside. It’s a high bay window and only a little window that was open.
I’m not exactly sure how far away she was.

I’m so paranoid that I’ve put my baby at risk.

Look the 2m is just a precaution in case someone sneezes or coughs. The chances the vicar even had the virus are low, and even if they did unless they coughed or sneezed while you were talking you're unlikely to be at any risk.

Also if your baby got it they would almost certainly be fine; the risk to healthy children is vanishingly low.

The WHO says 1m is enough.

2m is just the furthest distance some spit particles might go if someone coughs near you, so they’ve made it the blanket number.Unless the vicar was coughing loads directly through the open window you have nothing to worry about

In the nicest possible way you are over-thinking this, the risk is miniscule. The 2m isn't a magic figure it's a guide that's easy to follow, you don't automatically catch the virus is you get closer than that to someone.

It's really concerning that people get the 2m message but not the reasoning behind it. I understand the need to simplify things for snappy messaging but really, there needs to be an explanation of why we are doing all the things we are doing. Not a criticism of you OP, and I hope you know now not to be worried.
