Hideous dental pain

Has anyone managed to get dental treatment? My wisdom teeth need fillings, and in the past 24 hours have become agonising, paracetamol doesn’t touch it and I’m having no luck at all with the NHS. I was due an appointment for the fillings but it was cancelled. I’ve had no sleep and am close to tears, the dentist I have spoken to has prescribed antibiotics but there is no infection, just decay. Has anyone got any ideas or help? I can’t take ibuprofen and am so stressed and miserable. Waiting to hear if I can get treatment but I’m not feeling optimistic. Have spoken to 111 and a dentist.

Can you get to a chemist? Co-codamol might take the edge off for a couple of days so the pain settles.

My son got antibiotics that didn't work, so rang again four days later - sent to NHS dentist fifty miles away. Will need root canal filling, but temporary fix for £25. He's hoping that's the end of it.
