I want to find out what's going on. The facts and figures, any new findings about the disease itself, new studies, or possible treatments. However I keep going down a rabbit hole of news sources and it's taking too much of my time away from things I should be doing.

Which news or scientific (not too scientific) sources do you find useful??

Guardian, especially the livefeeds. Sky News channel (it's on Freeview).

BBC radio - mostly The World Service but I like PM on R4 at 5 and I think Evan Davis is a very good presenter and has made the programme his own.

The BBC
Guardian
New York Times

I love the daily podcasts from the bbc. Really informative worldwide.

The Guardian had a brilliant Long Read on the WHO the other day. The historical and political context that brings us up to date on why the attitudes to their authority are what they are. Very helpful.

Thanks I will try those.

I also find STAT useful. It's a US site but still relevant.

Does anyone know how we get the daily figures and breakdown of demographics for the UK please??
