We are in for 23 of 24 hours a day. Whereas last year out for most of the day.

We've not had the heating on more. Maybe used the oven a bit more. TV been on a lot

Standrewsschool · 16/04/2020 17:15

I’m not expecting a huge difference, as dh often works from home. Maybe more electricity as have dc permanently on screens (ones working from home).

sansgender · 16/04/2020 17:19

We're on a pre payment meter but I've noticed we've probably doubled our electricity usage, but that's with OH doing night shifts with PC and an electric heater on all night.

Choux · 16/04/2020 17:19

But your energy use in the living room reduced from feb to March. Or am I reading it wrong?

dementedpixie · 16/04/2020 17:20

I've just checked mine as I give monthly readings. Have only used an extra 30 units of electricity and used less gas than the month before

Surprisedtosaytheleast · 16/04/2020 17:22

Correct.

However my energy statements run from mid of month to mid of month. So was 15/02-15/03

That's last years details where they have reduced
Sorry I was comparing last month to this month rather than last year to this year (I dont have nest and switched energy supplier this year)

ifonly4 · 16/04/2020 17:39

Hopefully the fact we aren't using our cars/public transport much less, the cost of that counteract energy usage. We normally fill the car up three times a month, but with DH at home, I'm the only one using it for shopping, work, dropping DD off at work and delivering Mum's shopping - I haven't even used half a tank.

HoneyBee03 · 16/04/2020 19:32

We got our monthly electric bill the other day after sending a reading and I nearly fell over. It's so high that I plan to call them to check there isn't a fault...
