How does "the cough" start

I had a slightly sore throat yesterday and kept having to clear my throat.

Put it down to hayfever.

Today throat is no longer sore but I do have more of a cough. Just a little tickly cough.

I'm due to deliver essentials to my vulnerable mum later - I'll just leave on door step but should I be self isolating with this very mild cough ?

I’ve been the same for three days... am now feeling constantly cold, slight headache, nausea and no appetite, and eyes feel a bit sore. Felt breathless first thing this morning.
I’m starting to think it might be Covid...

yes you should be with a new continous cough.

First two days I had a single dry cough to clear chest after cardio exercise (not usual). Third day, had the beginnings of something more persistent, ie occasional coughing episodes.

please don’t anyone read the below as an argument for not staying at home if you have symptoms

Have never had hay fever before, but this thread made me wonder... so I took some piriton after feeling worse after playing in the garden this afternoon and the tickle/ sore eyes/ pressure in my head have all eased up fairly quickly. I feel pretty much normal sat here now (except for the loss of appetite, but that’s been an issue for a couple of weeks).

Will stay at home etc for 7 days just in case but pretty much certain I’ve got hayfever and the power of suggestion has been strong.

I've similar symptoms with my hay-fever this year.. I normally get itchy eyes and sneezes. I must apologise for any odd earth tremors they're caused by the few sneezes I've had this year.
