How can that be? They've not had CV in the country that long have they? How have they had their peak already ? I'm confused.

Tax so that graph shows that they are passed the peak based on social distancing until the end of May? Or have I read it wrong?

Yes, but you have to bear in mind that the numbers which make up the charts are constantly being re-jigged. I have the UK from 9 days ago and you can check directly what the UK looks like today. So on 9/4/2020 "peak resource use" was scheduled as 17/4/2020 - today, it was on 14/4/2020, and multitude lower than expected (102k v 34k)

Also Germany has come out with some preliminary research that concluded a mortality rate of 0.37% which is only marginally above seasonal flu (0.27%), and a 14% immunity hence they are removing the lock-down in Germany. In addition, there are (youtube) videos of NYC ICU medics ( and ) stating that ventilation is the wrong treatment, at least initially, and it has potentially killed people.

Having shut down the entire country at the expense of the future economy, I cannot help, cynically wondering if Governments are obliged to make it sounds as bad as they possibly can now to justify the course of action they elected to take. Government advisers followed an Imperial College model which had the worst possible outcomes but one was also available from Oxford university which was more benign.
