Does anyone know about TESCO delivery slots?

I'm a delivery pass but don't qualify for any priority.
I've managed to get the odd slot booked but seems more by chance.

I'm trying to shop for my 93 year old Mum ( lives 300 miles away) who isn't listed as vulnerable because she doesn't have any of the conditions listed.

Is there any best time of day to log in and see if slots have become available?

I read it was midnight but not sure if that's a myth?

The midnight think is not very reliable anymore at all unless you have a delivery pass or priority, those people can see 4 weeks ahead, 3 weeks if priority but no delivery pass.

The slots are now released as some to priority, these are available early morning for furthest date. For priority slots I am not sure if from midnight, Tesco were very firm with me not to try at midnight as absolutely no need as they are there early morning (6am ish which so far has been correct) and Tesco have said these are designated vans so separate/additional to the normal deliveries.

SOME are still released at midnight for furthest date but really only worth staying up for delivery pass customers as they see the extra week.

Another portion are held back and released to everyone else and anyone that doesn’t already have a slot booked in that week - but those appear to be released closer to the date and not the 3 weeks ahead, in my area at least in the last 2 weeks lots of slots have been released during Monday evening/Tuesday morning for that coming week. Delivery and click and collect.

Theres also odd slots (cancellations?) that appear during the afternoon

I second the advice from the poster above who gave the phone number. My elderly mum was registered withTescos but had never actually done an online shop. I tried to call them but they were clear that they had to talk to her in person. She rang and answered a few questions and they were able to put her on their vulnerable list, which is updated over night. The following day I logged on really early in the morning and got her a slot.

I asked about the release of slots and they said it was random throughout the day so you may need to take your chances.

I dont find slots at 12am but do find them around 7am

Hophop26 is correct. Tesco appear to have sorted customers into various categories who will see available slots as and when their category is designated. The system is now geared to only allow one delivery per week per account which is fair.

If you are shopping for other people the answer is to use separate accounts for each of the people you shop for as there is an 80 item limit. Clearly this will not go far if you are shipping for more than just your family.

Slots are appearing at random times throughout the day and early morning. I think they are trying to move people away from midnight because their site has crashed at least once.

I’ve gotten slots randomly. I logged I. On Monday afternoon and got a slot for Tuesday morning!

Not tesco but I found getting a slot with Iceland easier and also Morrison food boxes if you get desperate

It's all over the place tbh earlier this month I managed to book a click and collect slot 3 weeks in advance and then logged back on another time and found a slot for next day and a week later.

Today I checked at 9:30am and no click and collect slots but a full week and a half of delivery slots managed to book two delivery slots for the 10th and 16th of May. I don't have a saver pass or vulnerability priority so just whatever's left. Texted neighbour to say lots of slots but half an hour later they'd gone.

I suspect the moral is try often and hope to get lucky. With the exception of one week I've managed to get delivery/ click and collect throughout.

I haven’t been able to get a delivery from Tesco for a long time now. I have logged on at all different times, waited up until midnight etc but it’s all greyed out.
We have decided not to pay delivery saver once it’s done because we have found other shops locally which have been helpful.

I now have slots booked for the next 4-5 weeks. There's a couple of 6-8am C&C ones but still I am relieved. I even got a home delivery for next week that I booked this morning Shock I've been looking under flexi saver where there were no slots but they all appeared when I went back to viewing hourly slots.

I've managed one delivery for my parents but every day this week I've got in the queue by midnight then just been kicked out and it's saying no slots available again.

Can they actually get themselves put on a vulnerable list? They're in 80's, Glaucoma and asthma and other aches but still relatively mobile.

I spoke to them by phone and arranged priority access for my 91 year old father. Through my account as he isn’t computer savvy. I don’t use it for myself. They could see that I live 100’s of miles away and don’t order to my home.

They were great and slots are easy to book in the day time.

I've found on Tuesday or Wednesday mornings I can get availability for the rest of the week. Was totally surprised.
