I’ve noticed that people constantly try to ignore the rules, squeezing past people on narrow pavements, standing too close, cycling straight towards me to pass in close proximity, delivery drivers refusing to step back so I can open the door.
I keep hearing “it’s ok, I haven’t got it” even though studies suggest it’s likely to be highly contagious immediately before symptoms.
But... as soon as I mention that my husband DOES have it (I’ve isolated for the required period plus some, had mild symptoms but nothing in 9 days now) they leap back, shop workers suddenly don PPE, people cross the road... I wish people would realise that they’re equally at risk from everyone (probably more so!)
