Google it.

I think they recommended over 60 or 70% but I can't remember where I read that.

LockedInMadness · 14/04/2020 23:37

Eau de Cologne is over 80%, smells better, and isn't sold out. The traditional Eau de Cologne body splash stuff that is. You can get big bottles cheap as chips in local chemists. I'm using Bromley's Camelia and have a French lavender one too. I keep a little bottle in my handbag.

PP Might be thinking of benzalkonium chlorideas it's often in alcohol free sanitisers. Dont know if it works on covid 19

Haffiana · 14/04/2020 23:55

Yes, Cuticura which contains ethanol at 57.6% which will be fine. Cuticura lists ingredients by weight, and this actually equates to 66% by volume, so well over the minimum 60%. You do not need the special 'Cuticura Total' to kill viruses, all of their range will.

Isopropyl alcohol needs to be closer to 70% because it evaporates faster.
