Playground and baby groups

I know schools and nurseries will most likely re open in September, but what about playgroups and baby groups?
My 18 month old absolutely loves going to playgroup to interact with the other children, I’d be gutted if they couldn’t continue. I just don’t see how social distancing could be adhered to.
I’m hoping if they don’t, then I can at least go to playgrounds with him again and maybe meet up with a few of his ‘friends’ for a play date, once all this is over.

Tbh I think playgroup etc are the last things to worry about Confused

I'm thinking about this too OP. Will we have a generation of kids who have missed out on important early socialisation and how will they affect their mental health and future relationships?
If nurseries are open I dont see why playgroup wouldnt be - they're the same in terms of lots of kids playing and impossible to police social distancing. Whether people will want to attend them is, I suppose, another matter.

I think the baby groups will be all too keen to open as soon as the schools do as a lot are run by self employed parents.

I don't know, I would guess most will as soon as they are allowed to as a lot are struggling at the moment with no income. Some have branched out into online streaming but it's not the same, is it. I would imagine when schools do they may as well to be honest...

Same time as schools I’d guess.
