I know there’s probably thousands of threads asking the same thing but even if I just get one reply I’ll appreciate it!

I’m on day 4 of what I thought was just hay fever however feeling absolutely awful. I’m so congested I can barely talk, my throat is in burning so much it’s agony to swallow. I’ve got a cough but it’s not overly bad and a very low grade fever that comes and goes. My joints feel horrible, especially my lower back and I honestly have the worst headache known to man! Paracetamol is barely touching the sides but as far as I know I can’t take ibuprofen right?

Have literally only been to the shops 3 times in over a month, no idea how I’ve caught anything also still have a breastfeeding toddler and a pretty useless OH who is just letting her run feral through the house. How long does this usually last?!

Sounds like a cold to me also. Maybe head over to the Lungs 7 thread and post there. Upper back pain - like a searing, burning feeling along the bra line/shoulder blades is suggestive of lung issues.

It sounds like it could be to me.

You might find a GP or the NHS 111 more reliable than a bunch of random strangers on the internet.

I don't know why others are suggesting you have a cold. Since when have joint pain and lower back pain been symptoms of a cold?

The OP says a burning throat rather than a sore throat too. It fits with symptom those on the Lungs threads are suffering from.

OP, I think you could have covid. Do look at the Lungs threads and ask on there for advice. Check out your temperature and, if you start to have breathing difficulties around day, 7 then phone 111.

Sounds like Covid to me. You need to isolate & try not to worry about DD too much. Hope you get better soon x
