I’m struggling a lot . I have a horrible pain across my chest/tummy, a bad taste in my mouth and some issues with breathing .
I have spoken to 111 very early Sunday morning who said it sounded very like severe anxiety with GERD, my breathing is fine (it’s ‘manual breathing’, I keep thinking I’m going to forget to breathe), and suggested breathing exercises . Said chances of it being Covid19 are low as haven’t had face to face contact with another person for 4 or 5 weeks now . Haven’t left the house more than 4 or 5 time’s for a short walk in empty fields in weeks . Live in rural Scotland and very few cases around here . No fever, no cough .
I’m struggling though . I’m very, very sore . I can’t stop sighing and I can’t get relief unless I lie very still in bed - I can’t ‘forget’ about breathing so am breathing too hard and too fast . I have major anxiety issues anyway, so it wouldn’t surprise me if it were anxiety, but I don’t know what to do .
I’ve had similar before and told it was costocondoritis/inflammation from hyperventilating . This feels similar - like I’ve overused chest muscles - but I once walked around with pleurisy for 3 days and didn’t realise until I collapsed .. worried this is the same .
I’ve taken omeprazole and paracetomal this morning but still sore, and considering going back to bed now . What’s best to do? GP surgery said they can’t help as they’re only handling life threatening emergencies now - and 111 said they can’t help as it isn’t corona in their opinion ... so what do I do?
