How can I get my phone fixed?

My phone is bought outright and I'm with gifgaff for minutes and data so no contact to fall back on.
The screen is smashed and non responsive and I'm using an old phone I found in a long forgotten drawer which frequently overheats and switches itself off so that's on its last legs as well.

With the current situation is it classed as an essential?
Are phone repair shops open?
Is there somewhere online I can send it off to and have sent back to me?

Couldn't you try yourself? Watch. YouTube and buy the bits online (ebay) doubt phone repair shops are open but I don't know

Google phone repair. Loads are operating still by post. Might not be as fast as normal but they are still working.

Our local shop is doing pick ups and drop offs (at a safe distance) for repairs. Your local Fb page might tell you if anyone is doing them near you
