Anyone given birth recently?

Has anyone given birth preferably in the uk recently? I was just wondering how the process went? I've been told by my midwife that my partner will only be allowed in when I'm actually pushing and that I'm not allowed a home birth. But I was wondering what happens after? Can the partner stay? Will my baby be tested?

My baby was born in November but I have friends who have given birth during the crisis. Your partner will likely not be allowed to stay for long after. Sometimes it will be when you go back from labour suite to ward, sometimes before that but you will get an hour after your child is born in most cases. Not sure if her baby was tested for CV but she said all the other usual baby tests were carried out.
