Is there anywhere still doing a take away coffee?

I know in the grand scheme of things it's not important. But I'd love one. Am near Glasgow.

Some fuel/service stations have Starbucks/Costa take out machines as do some branches of Tesco although I’m not sure if they are still running or have been closed off as I’ve not been out

The Costa machines at convenience stores are still operating, if there's one near you.

Not as far as I know. I think i'll appreciate a Starbucks when this is over. I'm lucky I have a dolce gusto machine with the pods and it does lovely coffee, hot choc etc. Maybe get one of those op as they arent that expensive either. I'd love a real coffee machine though!

Not a necessity so only get one if you are there for a necessary shop. Small sacrifice to literally save lives.

Those self service machines are not nearly as good as a barista though.
I bought a coffee machine in an after Xmas sale at Tesco that takes pods - best money spent I have a latte every day! Nescafe Dolce Gusto - available on Amazon.

I like the costa machine coffees, usually...

My DP is still working as he repairs equipment, mostly in petrol stations... he says the machines are pretty much in constant use, with queues for them.

So I’d avoid them just now tbh, they’re basically being touched by someone different every minute....

Our co-op has a costa machine.

As much as I love a good coffee, I wouldn’t touch a machine based coffee just now mi know that’s not what you asked though.

I usually have at least 1 Starbucks coffee a day so I feel your pain!

I haven't got a machine but I found that Asda has sells a Starbucks range. They're the powder coffees that you add water too (like the Nescafé ones, but much nicer!)
I found they've hit the spot for now and the Vanilla Latte tastes v. good.

The first thing I'm doing when lockdown relaxes is going straight to my favourite cafe for an espresso coffee, catch up with their lovely staff, sit amongst people, out in the sun. Absolutely can't wait! ☕

I wondered when this is over whether places like Costa might take a bit of a hit once some people realised they could cope without a large mochafuccalatte every morning and were saving a few quid?

Really missing my flat white from my local indie coffee place too! and their Guinness cake I do have a Nespresso machine but it's not the same. I wouldn't bother with a Costa machine one myself both for taste and hygiene reasons, I'll just wait and enjoy the full experience when I can go out again!

@Pipandmum yes I've had my dolce gusto machine for 5 years now and it has been amazing. They are great for the money aren't they, my dc loves the hot choc pods too. I've also recently discovered the starbucks caramel machiatto pod that tastes just like the real thing if you drizzle it with caramel sauce at the end.

Our local baker chain is open and serving coffee. Unfortunately you’re on the wrong side of Scotland to benefit.

Our train station kiosk is still selling coffee but it's also turned into a small convenience store selling the basics like bread, milk, butter etc.

@ssd im just outside of glasgow and we have a coffee van come round. You can text him your order and he pulls upto your house and delivers your coffee. He observes all the social distancing requirements too! Its great. Its called really awesome coffee maybe can come to you!

I’m learning to make new types of coffee at home. I know how to make a really nice café con Leche now and iced coffee. I knew how to make my version of a mocha, and a flavored mocha before.

Drinking the dregs of the washing up water would be nicer than the coffee from the machines.

I have a Philips Senseo machine (takes pads, not puss-they're like tea bags). I'd be lost without him, BUT I'd rather give up coffee than buy coffee out right now - god alone knows who has handles,coughed over the cups & stuff.

That's true, too many hands touching the Costa machines right now I'll give that a miss.
I wonder if I could buy a coffee maker, I'm not an expert at all and I only have a cappuccino or latte when out, just plain not flavoured. And I don't drink alcohol but I spend about £3 a week on coffee so it's hardly going mad

What's a decent one to buy for the odd cappuccino? I don't know the difference between pods or beans.

I've had this for over 20 years - had it serviced for the first time a few years ago. It uses beans so much less environmental impact than pods etc.
Still available and makes brilliant coffee (bloody expensive up front though!)
Pre lockdown I was also going to coffee shops regularly - I don't think I'll go back to them once we are free again.

I'm glad I bought my coffee set ups ages ago, I can't stand paying £2-4 for my drinks since making my own. I've got a nespresso creatista+ and a cold brew machine. I can buy a bag of ground coffee to make cold brew for the price of 1 starbucks cold brew drink, and I easily get 20 glasses from it. Its far better too. I also bought a decent blender after Christmas and I'm using it to make my own coffee frappes now the weather warm.
