I do find this unlikely at this point. Only basing that on Ireland extending their lockdown until May and then that is subject to change.

We postponed our July holiday, thankfully TUI are offering free amendments.

More inclined to think the statement means they won't be reinstating flights before this date, rather than they will be flying from this date

I think it it completely unrealistic and irresponsible for international flights to start operations again so soon. There will be so many restrictions, popular destinations will have lockdowns, SD, quarantine periods upon return. I am really concerned that this alone may cause a resurgence of Covid. I am, like so many sticking to the rules & quite frankly I will be really fed up if it has been in vain.

Like many/all airlines they're just guessing.

I suspect in back offices at many operators staff are maybe, just like everybody- looking at the graphs (who thought curves could be such fun....) and trying to magic up some positive spin to keep people (including in some cases shareholders) happy:

"Hey Guys, the curve might be flattening...maybe lockdown will last another 4 weeks...add a bit of a buffer...lets say flights resume in June"

Given last night M. Macron has hinted that he can perhaps envisage Borders might not reopen until September I'd say nobody has a clue how this will work out.

I agree, by saying this it gives clarity to all the people booked to fly before then, eg May half term, that their holiday will not be happening.

However, seeing as the OP has given nothing except a link and an outpouring of punctuation marks, I have no clue what point she is trying to make.
