Any American mumsnetters out there thats can tell us how the daily updates from Andrew Cuomo are being received by the general population? I’ve watched him and Trump, and he seems to be so much more presidential and trustworthy, although I guess that’s not hard!

Who are the individuals that garner the most respect from you with regard to information about the virus?

I agree Rainbow he seems very genuine and empathetic. In stark contrast to our politicians.

He will probably run for president next election.

He is doing a great job here in NY, and I believe he is doing his absolute best.

Oh and as far as how he is received - lots of people are urging him to go for the presidency. So far, he's saying no, but I really wish he was the president right now!

I live in the UK, but I am from the east coast USA. He is extremely intelligent and his briefings reflect this. As with any politician there are bound to be things in his administration found wanting, but nothing compared to Trump, who is a make pretend mob boss.

Andrew Cuomo and Dr. Anthony Fauci have a lot of respect and praise in the media.

Cuomo, of course, has a team helping him prepare the daily presentations. He's also a very clear-headed and organized speaker.

Trump, on the hand, has always had a habit of rambling, ad-libbing, and making random claims that are not substantiated by evidence. Then later he'll flip-flop, back-track, and say something completely different or the opposite of what he said earlier. He has always done this, long before he was elected president.

It's too late for Cuomo to run for president in 2020, but maybe he'll run in 2024.
